Whats the gameplay like? Is it standard RTS base building, mine resources, build your units and attack, like supreme commannder/command and conquer etc?
It's like GalCiv meets Supreme Commander...
It's slow at times, and yet fast-paced at others.
Is their campaign/skirmish/online?
No campaign, each mission is called a 'scenario,' and is simply played much like a normal match in SupCom.
Any other RTS like it?
Galactic Civilizations, but that's turn-based, whereas Sins is real-time
how many factions?
Tough question, 3 in the regular game, and that number technically increases to 6 with Rebellion.
Does it get repetive or is there new fun every game in your opinion of course?
I have never stopped loving the game, and I don't feel that it is repetitive.
are there many tactics or just the simple steamroll and hit and run and rush?
way too many tactics to list.
How many units are their per army? on youtube i could only see the titans/fighters and maybe 2/3 others, is that it?
however many you build. Good fights have 100s of ships.
How much do you enjoy it?
See above.
Is their any difference between the steam version and retail?
Not really, though I recommend buying the Rebellion expansion through Steam..
The only real difference is that the retail version runs on the Impulse/Gamestop platform.
any issues with windows 7?
no
does rebellion have all the previous content? and could i play rebellion with someone who only has the original?
Yes
Yes
any other general info you can provide
cheers
Buy it and try it out for yourself.
The game is truly a unique experience, and when you're bored with it, you can mod the game after.
EDIT
Oh heck, this experiment didn't turn out so well
HOW DO I FIX IT
