All they did is split up the research trees a little and add a few new units. Otherwise it is the exact same game as the original. Within about 5 min of playing it, I got mad at Stardock.
It's a patch, disguised as a sequal so they can charge money for it.
If you've played the original...don't waste your money on Rebellion or you will be sadly dissapointed.
