File conversion program

Is there a free, (and I do emphasize free) program that can convert .pov/.cob 3d files into .obj files so imagesoft can import them? I have an old truespace model I want to use but all I can find are programs that want money. Also Blender dosent have a script for truespace models that I can find.

Sorry on closer inspection of your post I've got it wrong. Thought it was 3ds files you wanted converted.
