total newbie - wants to RTFM

Hi all...I purchased Windowblinds sometime back, but haven't really had a lot of time to play around with it. My recent termination gives me a LOT more time to play, but I'm kind of wondering what a good starting point might be.

Is there beginning documentation available in the install or here on the site?

What do you want to do? Just install and use skins, or make your own skins?

Just install and use...I've run into problems with backgrounds/wallpaper not appearing as the preview suggests they should and I'm wondering what I'm doing wrong (I'm using Windows 2000 Professional).

Take a look at your WindowBlinds settings. Go to your Display Properties, then:

On XP: go to the Appearance tab, click the WindowBlinds button, then look at the Settings section.

On 98/Me/2K: go to the Skins tab, click the WindowBlinds button, then look at the Settings section.

There are options to enable/disable backgrounds, wallpaper, etc. Also, keep in mind that wallpaper is not always included in the skin. In some cases you may have to download it separatley.
