Newest Additions Change

If you will look over to the right hand side you will notice a new box, Updated Skins.

Because of a problem where some skin authors were abusing their priveledge of updating their skins just so it would show up in the newest additions box we have separated new skins and updated skins into their own boxes.

Now the Newest Additions box will be just what is says, new skins only. And to show up in the Updated box your skin must be at least 10 days old and updated. This way, a new skin should not show up in both the Newest and Updated sections.

I do plan to add a 'Change the update date' checkbox in the update script soon as well. So this way, if you are just updating a screenshot or the comments you can prevent your skin from showing as being updated.

Enjoy!

errr.... a question...

When the author updates his skin, the skin will come now to the update´s list, right?
What about in the skin´s library, it will come to the top again or it will remain on the date of the original upload?
I´m sorry to ask that, but I think that this would be very important to descourage the massive updates for some authors, putting the real new skins to the bottom of the library.

That was a really good idea
and yes if it's just a matter of the ss or comment being updated then of course it should "not" appear in the box, that part used to bug me in the past when I myself would have to update a ss or comment cuz I noticed a typo or forgot to mention something or change the ss and ppl would jump to the conclusions...

Treetog,

Thanks, I forgot about that. I have just changed the sort box to have both Create Date and Update Date. Create Date is now by default. So the default view will not show updated skins at the top of the list anymore.

You are all lucky that I don't have more time to tinker or you would all be in trouble. heheh

What does a janitor do??? I know what the one at my old school does, but I think your duties may be a bit different???

Most of my is usually spent cleaning up after Jafo. But when I'm not busy doing that I try to keep WinCustomize running (when I'm not breaking it)!
