A thought on Titans

To start off, I haven't actually played the beta, although I have played a lot of Trinity and I have been keeping up to date with the development of Rebellion.

After reading a about Titans and lurking the forum, I was wondering what peoples thoughts would be on implementing an option in the game settings where you can only build a Titan once? It might make an interesting game?

It could be done via modding, but at this point, I'd say such a possibility is unlikely.

The more options a game has the better - i dont know why so many games only have a few multiplayer options.

Should be able to restrict any ship or tech pre-game - that way everyone is happy - you create and join games that interest you.

As it stands some players seem upset at titans keeping their level and other issues like corvettew spam or putting 20 Vasari rebel titans in the 1 system - better for players to have the option to restrict the tech for those that want it than just not have it - it would only require adding an extra menu and as said above - a little modding

Well for multiplayer, the current player base isn't large enough to support games with lots of different options. At most a couple of standard settings will take off and the rest will be ignored accept by groups of friends who arranged it in advanced.

For single player, options are a good thing as you're the only one that needs to be happy with them.

sorry fan 77 I disagree - you just have to wait - when i played entrenchment online i had to wait for over an hour until my online game was full - lots of players didnt like the settings and other players did not like waiting around for a full game - but we waited patiently and I said nicely to the players that im sorry but these are the settings and custom map im playing with – it gave them all a map description when we where talking waiting for the map to fill.

When playing supreme commander with the VAST array of game options you would regularly be looking for a game for 30 mins that suited you or waiting 30 mins for players to join your game

I don’t know if you every played Red Alart 1 but even that game from early 90’s had options for adjust tech level

I really think the more options the more people you please

Most people are not that patient. ;) Yeah I've had some games with abnormal settings too after a wait, but they're a small percentage of the total. For multiplayer, I think such items will be like pirates, where one will be used by 90% of the games.

I agree, its just I think they'll be used more for single player.'

But really this doesn't matter, since Sins is the same game (technically) for single and multiplayer. If you get an option for one the other may as well get it.
