A Matter of teastes. I find IE for Mac very very ugly. And besides, IE ofr Mac is very crappy, especially for javascript support. If you have a Mac, you're better off with Netscape or Mozilla.
You can make IE prettier with Webblnids if you want.

true paxx, IE for Mac is ugly, if you use a 56k internet connection. If you use DSL connection, all rules changes: IE works very well (specially if you uses the router as a modem -single user, not multiple users-). Also, is Netscape for Mac the problematic and incompatible, specially in asp pages. It's true that IE for Mac don't likes the Java applets, in this case it's best Netscape.

You're better of With Mozilla anyway^H^H^H^H^H^H^H^H Awright, strike that one.

IE5.5/Mac though, is lightyears ahead of its PC counterpart. And it has this nifty colour changing GUI.

Oh and to answer the question: there are different dev teams working on the pc and mac versions. So they are completely different apps.

I don't agree that it's nifty, nor that it's ahead. Heck, its javascript support is just horrific, even for simple things as closing a window or forcing a window into focus.

name_of_window.close()?
name_of_window.focus()?

Window manipulation is shear hell anyway.
