MSN scroll bar skins but not WinCustomize?

Why is it that when I visit MSN, the scroll bar skins very nicely, but as soon as I come here to WinCustomize, I get the very boring grey scroll bar? Shouldn't this site be a showcase for the capabilities of the Object Desktop programs. It seems as though your website cripples this functionality!

John,

If you are actually using the MSN internet service to dialup to the internet then you are using a "special" MSN IE browser specifically designed for the MSN Internet Service. Therefor their MSN site has been specially coded to take advantage of those special features.

I hope this helped in answering your query

It actually has to do with the coding of the page that you're on. I don't know all the specifics. Some pages are coded to "skin" the scrollbar, if not it reverts to the browser. The pages at this site are coded so that the the scrollbars will match whatever site skin you are using. Someone else may be able to explain it a little more clearly, but perhaps more in technical terms. T-Man ?

The scrollbars I see match the site skin. I am using the default wincusto skin and the scrollbars are green.

But then again if you are speaking about IE6 on XP then I have no clue. I am using 5.5 on Win2K.

Yes, Windowblinds scrollbar skins only replace the default scrollbar in IE6. If a site, like this one, chooses to colorize the scrollbar in another color than the default, then the Windowblinds scrollbar isn't applied.
