Downloading to "Temp" vs. "Save As"

When I attempt to download a windowblind for WBXP, the download begins downloading to "temporary folder", instead of allowing me to choose "Open" or "Save". I created a "New Folder" and renamed it "Temporary Folder", but after the download is complete my "Temp" folder remains empty.

It's designed to do that. WindowBlinds downloads to the temporary folder and then installs the skin . . . at least, that's the idea. Are downloaded skins not showing up in your skin list?

Yes, the downloaded skins are not showing up and I cant find them on my system, but I know they are on my Hard drive because when I attempt to redownload, the server acts like I already have a download.

Jim,

I am using the latest release of WB (3.2rc3). Once the skin is downloaded to the temp folder it shows up in WB configuration skin list. So it seems to be working properly. Now if you are looking for the file, on 98SE mine is located at:

C:\WINDOWS\Local Settings\Temporary Internet Files\Content.IE5

To find yours click on the desktop and hit F3. Change the "Look in" to C: and "files named" to *.wba

If you don't like the auto open feature you can always use the right click and "save as" function or you can chnge you file type settings for .wba files.

To do this double click on My Computer or open Windows Explorer. Click on View or Tools and select Folder Options. Click on File Types and scroll down to "wbload" entry. Click on Edit and and check the box for "Confirm open after download". Now OK and close your way out and you should now get the fimiliar box after the download is complete.
