WB title bars in 3.2

my interest has been tweaked by a statement by Frogboy in the "per brad: msstyle v uis skin format" thread. the statement snipit was:

Frogboy - Msstyles is pretty good. It should be pretty good, it was modeled on WindowBlinds to begin with (it's especially apparent in 2419 when they even had a fake title bar then like WB did until 3.2).

this seems to be saying that with WB 3.2 skinned windows no longer get a fake title bar.

am i interpriting this correctly, and if so, does this work on win98 with non UIS1+ skins?

i am currently running the lovely Bleu skin on WB 3.2 rc2 under win98, and WB still seems to be doing the fake title bar bit. i am basing this on the extra height on a screen grab using alt_print_screen, and the fact that open windows are still shrinking by the height of the title bar when WB is unloaded.

the window height changing issue is the real reason for my interest, since there are a couple of windows that are normaly open when i shut down my machine (causing WB to unload). a good example is tab launch pad. it is hardly a critical issue, but this title bar suggestion seems to hold out the hope of a solution

The non-fake titlebar is currently only working on XP. I'm not sure if they can extend it to other OSs.

XP-only.

Funny story:

So Microsoft decides they want to skin Whistler. They looked to see how WindowBlinds did it and copied the fake title bar. Of course, they also discovered all the nasty side effects of it that we've had to deal with.

So they added some new APIs to XP so that they don't need to use them. WindowBlinds 3.2 uses those API calls.
