DesktopX and JPEG!!?!

Why does it not support .jpeg ?
The demo I have tried won't allow jpegs, does the full version or new upcoming one support them?

Currently BMPs and PNGs are supported. PNGs are used to make per pixel translucency easier.

Thanks for the answer.

So jpegs cant do all that translucency and transparent stuff?
Even if so, I would have thought giving users the option of jpeg would at least be available. I got all themes down to 1/3 size that I tried and it stopped most of the loading and images popping up that occur in DesktopX whenever you minimize a window and go back to the desktop.
