Umm . . . that's not complete. About 2/3 of the pages come up as not found or "Coming soon".

I've been trying to build a skin with notepad because I can't get skin studio to work. I'm still trying to figure out how all new these little gizmos work. It's amazing how much of the interface is skinned now.

One question... I can't get the spacer image for the tabs to work on Win2k but it works fine on XP. Is that normal?

Sorry to hear that Skin Studio is "gliched," that was THE program I was brave enough to try outside WindowBlinds. Not to sound negative, or gullable, but quite a few individuals from CNet feel none too happy about some of Stardocks software. Will wait and see how SkinStudio "goes" via the newsgroup.

What kinds of problems are you seeing with WB? Works well for me.

I'm just not patient enough to make skin studio work since I've always used notepad. Obviously it works great for everybody else. I didn't mean to imply skin studio is the problem, I know it's just me.

I don't think Cnet user reviews are that helpful in general, not just on our software but on all software. Too many people who are totally unfamiliar with the software will blame weird things on software.

Read the IE6 reviews, you'd think it caused cancer.

/me is off to figure out why he has all these weird lumps on his fingers..

BTW, SkinStudio 1.8 just went up on ODNT. There's no way to make something as complex as skinning the Windows GUI completely straight forward but believe me, if you can learn SkinStudio some, it'll save you a lot of time. And you can edit code right in the SkinStudio code area.

I'll give it a try - I just finished this skin with all the XP stuff and the gazillions of little pieces... whew Maybe I'll make another one after I recover from this...

All I can say is - WOW!!!

That is a tremendous job at explaining all the nuances of skinning - much more than a WB tutorial. It rightly deserves a solid place on the stardock servers.
