illegal skinning

First: i recognize i used lots of images created before by other authors in my skins!
This is illegal? There's a lot of skins using images before created by others, also lots of skins with all images ripped!
I know that if there's no copyright signed in the image or tehre's no comments on the web page that contains the image, there's no problem. At firsts times i released some skins that maybe are copyrighted, but i searched around the webpages ind i found nothing about the copyrights.
And the copy of functionalities (like the bars and the docks), it's a plagiarism?
If i release a skin with a specific logo, by who is the fault: by the skinner of wincustomize to leave the release?
PD: i posted some original pictures in Wincustomize. When i upload, i know that maybe the image can be used by others with a different intentions (a Copyright costs 60$ minimum in my zone).

Any original creation is copyrighted by definition, even if no copyright note is included with it. That includes images, text, anything.
You cannot use or reproduce somebody else's images without his/her permission. If we have complaints about a skin using unauthorized images, we verify the source and if it's true, we delete the skin. As simple as that.

However, when you upload a DesktopX object the rules are different. I don't recall exactly what they are, but I know that they used to say that by submitting an object you allow others to combine your object in their theme. I've forgotten whether they're allowed to modify it before redistrobution.
