desktopX animations on mp3 playback with SD player

when using desktopX to control the SD player, is it possible to get the "bouncing bars" effect that shows the "shape" of the music as it is being played?

i am guessing this should be theoretically posible a suitable COM object can be located.

does anyone have any thoughts on how to go about doing this?

thanks

Currently there are no plans to do visualization stuff. We need to address other features first, like clip names showing on a DX object, the viewers title bar, the system tray icon and the taskbar button. Next thing we will implement are volume, pan, bass and treble controls (faders/sliders). More features are planned.

I think it is not possible that third party software can do visualization stuff, without the help of SDPlayer.

thats fair
i was thinking in terms of having a script that said
"listen to the sound and visulise it"
using some COM thing that was already on my machine.

my next question was in fact going to be how to get info on the currently playing file, like title and time remaining. i have just downloaded a couple of DX mp3 players that should do this to see if i can make them do it with SD player. i suspect then that the answer is "not yet, but soon"
