Names character limit bump

I would request making the ship/station/planet name character limit longer. I cant even name my ship TDN Enterprise without it being cut off.

And ability to also name fleets would be uber cool.

The names could be made a few characters longer I believe. But too long would cause the name to glitch off the infocard belonging to the ship, like what happens when you have Frontal Delector Shield at level 2 on a Vasari starbase.

Names in the string file can be as long as you want, if you don't mind them going off the infocard as Teun mention. But yeah the ones you type yourself have a far lower limit.

Why not just make the text progressively smaller as the name gets longer? That way, no glitching off the infocard would happen.

That should work. Not sure if it would be as clear with long names then but at least one wouldn't be bothered with the text overlapping the background of the infocard.
