Msgboard Chatroom Marathon

Honestly, I would go to IRC for this kind of stuff, but if any of you have been there recently, everyone seems to be...inactive. Sooooooooo, out of boredom, I'm turning a thread among this msgboard into a chat room, anyone care to join? =P.

It's Sunday night, and I'm bored out of my mind. There's much to do, but I'm too lazy to get around to do it. My boyfriend is busying trying to get Visual Studios to work so I can't talk to him on the phone....and we can't seem to talk over the phone anyways...it'll just be silence mostly.

New Semester started........so anyone alive out there to join Elffie in this chat marathon? =P

Let's try not to let this post hang for over 2 hours, hm? =P

I can do is learn from my mistakes and never make them again

That there is the main lesson in life, even though most don't know it.

The English and reading. I haven't read a book in a long time. This Comp II class online I have, I haven't really looked at this book. It's a huge book. The Title is "Dialogues: An Argument Reetoric and Reader". I do pass the quizes with 100%s. I'm just 3 weeks behind on my papers. There is one each week, plus you have to do discussions on the board about each other's papers. I think it's just a waste of time.

About that pirated software. You know, that's one of the biggest debates right now. Who is really responsible for what is on the computers? By what I've been reading, the IT people seem to be the ones that get the blame. This is even looking at a company that has 200+ employees and say one of those employees installs pirated software, music, video, etc on their work computer. The IT people still gets the blame. Right now, I'm not sure what the sentence is for priated software. I know they were planning on making Video 3years minimal. I would of thought that she could of pleaded stupidity and turned in the seller. They more target after the seller instead of the buyer. I just know the rules and sentences keep changing. But for the worse. If it keeps going, you could kill serveral people and still get a less sentense than piratcy.

O' and to add I'm a Aries.

GM, said alot of good stuff above.

Come. Play, relate, relax. You belong here as much as any of us.

You should add "spank, be spanked" to the list

A lot of things are on debate. My solution is to live life the way I see fit. Many people I know agree with what I have to say, many don't. Experiences will alter all logic and reasoning. For the most part, I think I'm an okay person. Weird grades, weird personality, in heavy denial, but an okay person

Many have told me that I'm still welcomed here. I don't doubt it in the least. However, I'm relatively harsh on myself. I can't forgive myself easily. I've never been able to do that, and some people find that an enigma actually. I've always been taught to do unto others as I would have others do unto me. Well, when I fall off that wagon, it takes me a lot of time to get back on.

I think I've finally started to put a dent in that guilt I've felt. I'm just glad that people like me are rare. I don't know how the world would deal with too many elfkuras running around

I've learn to accept that some people are not made to befriend many. I'm not exactly evil (although my boyfriend will beg to differ on that) but I'm not very sociable. I enjoy solitude. If I'm not with Rob, I'm by myself. I'm perfectly happy that way. I find no reason to alter it. Sometimes I get lonely when he works long hours. Friends aren't going to make up for that closeness, if it does, they're not friends anymore.

On a brighter note, my boyfriend bought me a golf set last week as a gift. I went golfing for the first time this weekend. And for any past comments about golf being stupid, I take it all back. Smashing that golf ball as hard as you can gets that stress out like nothing else. I'm a bit sore, but it was fun. It's definitely not easy, trying to hit the ball with the club.

If anyone has a chance, there is an international treasure hunt called geocaching. It is awesome. Go check it out online and join in. It's great fun, not strenous, and relatively rewarding knowing that there are millions out there doing the same thing you are

I just realized... this thread is over 3 years old. Dang.

The solitude thing: Sounds like me, but I do have my moments when I do get out. Sometimes I can spend days in the house or even my room with moments coming out of my room to go downstairs or other things.

Golf: Did it, wasn't too thrilling, but had fun with my friends.

Yep, but they are working out other bugs first. If you are using IE, you can use IESpell. Firefox, I haven't gotten the spellchecker add-in to work.

I just realized... this thread is over 3 years old. Dang.

Yep, but it almost got lost in the transfer between the old and new site. There was like a month where the tread never really worked. One person could get in here and there but most of the time, you got a timeout.

I was only going to add one more thing... Jafo is about the most fair and understanding people I have met in my life.  I have learned a thing or two from watching him deal with people.  He teaches them by giving them chances and not turning his back.

Don't sell him short.  If you have things you feel you need to say then he would be the one to talk to.  An apology goes a long way towards mending hurt feelings.  On both sides.

Yep, you did a good thing when you made this thread.

I've had my experience with Jafo. I agree, he is fair. However, I think there's one thing I've learned from him. He doesn't really care much about spoken apologies, anybody can say it. He wants to see it for himself. That's just his way, and his way works.

Yeah... true.  But you have to be around and visible for anyone to see anything.  So you see, it's a good thing to come here some more.  No one probably cares much about a spoken apology if that is all it is.  But speak it then follow it up by action and then it means something.  It is significant then.

I would be around more, but like I told Brad, my first duty is to my studies, and right now, I'm enjoying my A's. I want to keep earning them. With 17 hours on the book next semester, I don't think I'll have much boyfriend time, let alone messageboard time
Reply #12760 Top

hehe... yeah.  Well as long as you know that you are welcome here, that's the important thing.  That you do have friends here.  No need to guilt yourself away anymore.

What're you working on anyways, isn't it kinda late?

It's only 8:22 PM in Honolulu.  I've been dealing with some physical stuff and right now it hurts too much to settle down in one particular spot for long.  It'll get better.

Ahh, you're in the west. That explains the time difference. I'm currently working on my papers. Well, also distracted here and there about it. Gotta finish this one and start another one in the morning. I hate the last week of a semester. Everything, no matter how well planned out, will catch up to you.

Although I'll never take another online class again. I'm not diligent enough, and I find myself enjoying classes more when I actually go to them, not view lectures through a tv screen.

I can feel my eyelids slowly closing

I never was good about the schedule end of school.  Luckily I found teachers and classes that let me deal with things on my own terms.  Some people's brains just never fit inside those little boxes.  They just crave the latitude of free thought.

I'm about ready to have noodles and a hot shower.  Nice to see you again.

Don't worry overmuch about things.  It soulds like you have earned yourself some latitude here and there.

But then again, don't worry about not worrying ...

and so it goes.  g'nite

Good night. A shower sounds good. I should to take one myself. I'll see you later

"I'm about ready to have noodles and a hot shower"

"A shower sounds good. I should to take one myself"

Fuzzy Logic likes the sound of this. We should shower together though to save water... *innocent expression No 17*

We should shower together though to save water

Well, considering I shower with my boyfriend sometimes, it really doesn't save water. I think we spent more time goofing off flicking soap suds at each other than actually showering. It is fun though, but my experience is limited to bf only

Actually, life is more like fishing. You never know what you'll catch, and sometimes, you catch nothing. Of course, I've never gone fishing before

Welcome backe Elfkura!!

Glad to see you're still around.

The only cat I recall is feline. I'm not sure if we've met, but seeing that you seem to know who I am, I feel silly for not knowing you.

Refresh my memory?

Meowy has been with Wincustomize for a couple years. He was just a lurker before. He finally decided to come out from the darkness to join the rest of us

*feline considers what profound observation to add to all of this*

it seems that if you define yourself, your actions, and your impact in terms of what others think and feel you should be then you are doing a disservice to the true nature of things. for surely the only true way to respect the universe in all of its grand and glorious nature is to be yourself, allow others the right to be themselves, and never force your way of being on them.

you always live with your past, but you are not bound by it, you are not shackled by it. your past is where you have been and what you were. learn from it, grow from it, become something new, better and more wonderful, then your past will be worth something.

why are people talking about "outside this thread"??? *feline suspects people are strange*

next thing you know, they will start babbling about that big room with the funny moving blue ceiling again.

humans, they are clearly placed on the planet to give cats tummy rubs and to feed me chocolate! *BIG GRIN*
