Honestly, I would go to IRC for this kind of stuff, but if any of you have been there recently, everyone seems to be...inactive. Sooooooooo, out of boredom, I'm turning a thread among this msgboard into a chat room, anyone care to join? =P.

It's Sunday night, and I'm bored out of my mind. There's much to do, but I'm too lazy to get around to do it. My boyfriend is busying trying to get Visual Studios to work so I can't talk to him on the phone....and we can't seem to talk over the phone anyways...it'll just be silence mostly.

New Semester started........so anyone alive out there to join Elffie in this chat marathon? =P

Let's try not to let this post hang for over 2 hours, hm? =P

About the atmosphere on the message board. This is what I think about it. When skinning started there was less interest by the "general public". Most people involved in skinning knew each other. Skinners and users were in it together. When a skin was released it just didn't appear from one day on the other. It was first debated and tested in the news groups. If all bugs were fixed and everyone was happy about its looks then it was submitted to a skin site. During the years the user group is growing. When XP came it looked like it was booming. Skinners were able to get more skins than the 50,000 or 100,000 which only the very best used to get. A lot of new skinners are falling for that and think they are something because they have more downloads than Dangeruss. Another thing is that a lot of websites are not very friendly and a lot of MB posters never seen a place like this and have a hard time adapting. Sometimes the behaviour of the new kids on the block makes my blood boil. I cannot remember having that feeling before. Maybe it is time for me to get involved in a smaller skin site. Not sure.

MadIce, with regard to the message board one theory is that we (those of us who have been around for a while now) should lead by example.

/me notes that this can be rather tyring, and without the support of deeply loved and respected friends is something i dont feel upto trying

if we just keep on retreating, well, *sigh*
on the other hand, there are days when i just dont feel like bothering, so i will simply stay here in the company of the lovely and wonderful friends i find here
