i worked out it is nearly 3 months since my main computer started messing up. that was a few days after i got over the HD crash. and i still dont have it working!

/me has decided i know why i am feeling so depressed and stressed

oh yes, and i have just had a 2 week holiday which i seemed to spend about zero days just relaxing.

this is the second holiday in a row where this happened.

one holiday was full of workmen removing the mad hedge we had, and building a nice new fence. good, but not exactly all quiet and soothing.

and this holiday has been full of workmen replacing the windows in our house. again good, and again not exactly soothing and relaxing.

and today i am back at work. i was given a list of things and asked to test them, since the testing department werent, and as a programmer i was the ideal person. odd, but ok. so, out of these 10 items 8 of them have not been done yet.

management wanted to know what the confusion was. apparently they meant i was supposed to fix the problems they had asked me to test, and i was supposed to understand this from their english when they said in the email "Please test tasks ..."

ah, just to really clarify, the email in question started:

"I am afraid that i requested .... that you work ... the next 2 - 3 weeks ... with the urgent testing"

/me wonders what exactly they meant by this, if not that i was supposed to test the things that i have not yet programmed.

but i have been removed from the programming dept for now, since they need to be tested. but i am the one who is supposed to be programming these urgently, and it is because they are so urgent i had to stop being a programmer so i could test them.

/me thinks i am going to go for a long walk soon, and try and work off some of this stress and confusion

/me feels the need for a hug, so i will kidnap someone to hug once i get back

should i set about learning how to write plugins for Keyboard Launchpad, or should i set about my plan for improving the security checks of nurses?

on one paw, there are some things i want Keyboard Launchpad to do that it doesn't do, so by writing some baby programs, or even plugins i can start to fill in the missing functionality.

on another paw, following the news that fuzzy logic has been running around in a skimpy nurse's uniform, i feel that it is highly important we make sure we know who the nurse's are. so, with this end in mind, i was thinking we should find JavaBean and GM, then help them out of their clothes, before dressing them in the nurse's uniforms. this way we can be sure they are them

of course, to be certain they are still them we are going to have to check who is inside of any nurses uniforms on a regular basis, say, every half hour

once i get my home machine fixed, i will do that. my home machine is the one with the dialup connection, so that is where i can test the code to see if it works
