Wolfie has Roquefort in his fur, has made Ritz cracker bikinis for the women, and disappeared to take a cold shower, Dracoform is going to pay attention to fuzzy, karmagirl is skinny-dipping in the coffee lake and she made a neat chocolate slide..... And Maddie has contributed greatly to our art gallery.... Fl got post 7000 (he got a new computer and a tune up to do it, and to ensure 8000 he got cable)... There might be more....

/me found a little old man sitting in a pool of blood today and rescued him by organizing help and running to the firestation and nabbing the firemen to come help (it was strange, only one block the other way was a traffic emergency and most of the firemen all were there, I saw some others were coming back and I ran and got them. Turns out they had a wrong address). The little man is ok... but there sure is a lot of blood inside little people!

Yes, FL is on a roll. > Miserable day yesterday. Used the restore disk on my pc yesterday cos I was having problems due to a dual boot set up which failed. Of course, I have plenty of backups...bah! Copied the drive to my second hard drive before I started - that now reads as unallocated and is unrecoverable No problem - I have some Drive Image files on cd. Yeah, I just found out that before you make the copies if you are using NTFS you have to get the file permissions right or the image is useless when copied...guess what. OK, I have some data on cd - all is not lost. Hmm, only a couple of them are up to date due to me being a bit 'busy' lately. The rest date from October.

So, I have no e-mails since October. I've had to re-download 300Mb of UT2003 maps and packs - only two days ago I labeled a new cd ready to backup these files!!! I will have to download my last skin cos here is the only place it can be found. All my scans are gone - luckily quite a few are over at DA. Fortunately all my Word/Excel files are safely backed up, there's years of work there, phew!

So, I shall be busy downloading stuff for the next few days. Realistically the only thing I can't recover is my mail. Plus I will be buying more cd's and backing-up the old fashioned way!

I'm only one missing. It's mainly all the odds and ends you tend to accumulate that will be the problem. In this case since October. They are kinda hard to replace, things like links I come across or pics I like the look of. Never mind, gives me something to do with all this spare time I have!

I keep and external hard drive plugged into a USB port to back up all of my important stuff including emails.
It has saved me from disaster many a time....
