Msgboard Chatroom Marathon

Honestly, I would go to IRC for this kind of stuff, but if any of you have been there recently, everyone seems to be...inactive. Sooooooooo, out of boredom, I'm turning a thread among this msgboard into a chat room, anyone care to join? =P.

It's Sunday night, and I'm bored out of my mind. There's much to do, but I'm too lazy to get around to do it. My boyfriend is busying trying to get Visual Studios to work so I can't talk to him on the phone....and we can't seem to talk over the phone anyways...it'll just be silence mostly.

New Semester started........so anyone alive out there to join Elffie in this chat marathon? =P

Let's try not to let this post hang for over 2 hours, hm? =P

A new computer! I haven't had one in like 4-5 years now.

Rob and I went out to Fry's yesterday to spend about 2000 on a new computer system, totally built from scratch by the both of us. I also bought an lcd screen (17") for about 700 dollars. Everything else was abouy 1300 (tax included). I feel pretty good about the whole thing.

Ahhhh....a computer of my own... one that's close to the top of the line (and better than Rob's..heh). Computers rock, have I said that recently?

Okie, rob and I are going to leave for a movie now. I'll talk to you people later

Glen Eric Reed - if my cat liked belly rubs, he'd let me provide them.

/me concludes that generalizing from 5 to all cats may not work so well

Yeah, great service, lots of choices on what you want. Fry's is a really nice place. I've enjoyed going there, although I wish it was a tad bit closer =P

nice system... you could run a small country with a computer like that...

Post a picture of it Elffie, I'd like to see that aluminium tower. The LCD screen sounds nice too. They sure make these things irresistable don't they?

I have a prayer request.

My grandmother broke her leg about 4-5 months ago, and the operation did on her leg didn't work out well as the implanted gears split apart, causing her much pain in the past months the knee was suppose to heal.

This week, on Thursday (wednesday our time), she will be in the operation room again. Please pray that the doctor knows what he's doing this time around, and may there be less pain for my grandmother through this period.

Thanks.

Good morning, everyone!

I finally got a DVD player! Yay! It has progressive scan and you can watch/listen to any type of CD/DVD/MP3 that is out there right now (yep, even read uncompressed MP3s). So, we bought that (which was our "anniversary" gift, then decided that our TV sounded like junk and bought a surround sound reciver/controller and speakers. Woo Hoo! That was cool! My daughter was watching cartoons on it last night, and my husband said "no child of mine is going to watch cartoons on anything less than surround sound!" Pretty funny stuff.

Children today are pretty lucky, aren't they?

Pampered, spoiled, and they demand more =P

I hate early morning classes....urgh
lol...all right. So maybe not that early, but I'm a night creature. I function mainly in the hours of the night...like my day would actully be from 9am - 12pm and then from 5pm to like 3 or 4 am =P

so classes at like 8:30 in the morning..that's early
=P

dusk to three a.m. is my fav time for play (though alot of the time during those hours I end up having to work)

cuz I don't stop playin all day!!!!

I leave for work at 5:30 am, and get back home at about 5:15pm. Then I have 3 hours with my daughter and husband, get the daughter to bed, then get myself to bed between 10:30 - 11:30 pm. I used to hate mornings and stayed up all night, but I kinda' had to change that when I had my daughter. Funny how that works

So, how is the weather where everyone is? It's been extremely nice here!
I'm generally a night person, but forced to be a day person. I learned not to sign up for early classes after freshman year of college, and made it five years with nothing starting before 10:00 am. Unfortunately, the real world warrants me to get up by 6:30. So, I balance things out by being mean and miserable to everyone!

Weather hot. Too hot

It's been quite warm here, too. High of 84 today. It's usually in the low to mid 60's this time of year in Michigan. Very odd weather!
Around 95 here yesterday. Around 85 today. Forecasts for 65 on Sunday and 55 on Monday. I can't stand schizophrenic weather, but I'm glad it's cooling off at least.

Michigan is pretty weird. It's 82 here, but only 66 in the Northern regions (which I am traveling to this weekend). Those lakes really cool it off up there. Nice in the summer, though!

Here on the left side of the continent (Oregon) it's snowing in the foothills and it's freezing cold....

weird weather indeed.....
I was it was cold again. It's really hot here recently. Almost in the 90s
Reply #699 Top
Well, supposed to be thunderstorms tonight and cooling off for the weekend, finally. My a/c can't take much more of this.

Agreed Java, Michigan is weird. I lived there for a semester of grad school (Central Michigan U.), then ran for the hills. Literally. Too flat there for my tastes

It's been in the 90's all week here in Philadelphia. 90 today, Sunday and Monday the high will be 60...?

What am I talking about I just want to see this thing hit 700..
