Msgboard Chatroom Marathon

Honestly, I would go to IRC for this kind of stuff, but if any of you have been there recently, everyone seems to be...inactive. Sooooooooo, out of boredom, I'm turning a thread among this msgboard into a chat room, anyone care to join? =P.

It's Sunday night, and I'm bored out of my mind. There's much to do, but I'm too lazy to get around to do it. My boyfriend is busying trying to get Visual Studios to work so I can't talk to him on the phone....and we can't seem to talk over the phone anyways...it'll just be silence mostly.

New Semester started........so anyone alive out there to join Elffie in this chat marathon? =P

Let's try not to let this post hang for over 2 hours, hm? =P

i have decided to ban organs
/me is fed up with feeling ill

since all the symptoms are in organs, simply banning organs will make the problems go away

/me goes looking for magic wand to make organs go away
Reply #552 Top
If we didn't have organs...we wouldn't have a stomach...without a stomach, how would we eat chocolate?

I'm in the process of de-caffinating. Does anyone believe I can do it?
Why would you WANT to do it, Java? Caffeine is your friend.
Caffeine is only your friend to an extent. When you *have* to have caffeine, you have a problem. You know how most people who drink coffee get a headache if they go a day without drinking any? I get a headache if I go a couple hours without it....
Did you know that most Migraine meds have caffeine in them? It is one of the active ingredients in Excedrin Migraine....Weird, huh?

JavaBrain, the idea behind putting caffeine in pain killers is that it is supposed to enhance the effectiveness of other drugs.

i am not sure if this is only becuase it increases adsorbsion into the body, or if there is another effect as well though.
Actually, I thought it was just most over-the-counter migraine drugs that had caffeine, not the prescription ones.

I know what you mean about overdependence, though. I was at 10-15 cups/day at one point, now it's about 2. The headaches are bad, but you can do it. Just remember, there's caffeine in chocolate, too!

So does this mean you'll be changing to DecafBrain?

....

Nah, I have mine set to 10 days, so it shouldn't fall off the board
Reply #560 Top
10-15 cups! oh boy...
I only have one, and if I'm having a busy work day I'll go for the rare second cup

Elf! I got to take my two boys to see Ice age and it was too cute!!! we laughed all through the movie,
one of my boys was giving me a hard time cuz he wanted to see Blade II but they're too young and I remembered the original Blade (not really for kids)

was very very good! loved that sloth! hehe
and the little baby was soo adorable sheesh!
Blade II isn 't for kids. I see it as a bit too violent. It is rated-R, and there are quite a few scenes that really shouldn't be shown to children .

Ahh well, how about take them to The Rookie when it comes out. That actually doesn't look like a bad movie...

and as for you Doreen, check out Blade II, it rocks

Ok, working on the caffeine. I have not had even one cup of coffee today...and, I am still alive...barely.

I have had 3 cups of "Cold brew" Lipton Tea, which each cup has 27mg of caffeine. So I have had a total of 81mg of caffeine, which is less than one cup of coffee. Crazy, isn't it? I'm trying to do this slowly so that I don't shock my system (or my brain) too much. I am going to allow myself a cup of coffee tonight, though. Then, tomorrow I don't *plan* on drinking any coffee.....
Yeah, Blade II's even more violent than the first. Better, too. Glad I finally dragged my butt back into a theatre to catch that.

And Java, is there any reason you're trying to give up coffee entirely? It's bad in excess, sure, but a cup or two a day doesn't do any harm. Unless there's a Java Jr. on the way?
I probably won't catch Blade II until it's on vid, cuz I only run off to the show w/ my boys (and they can't watch that stuff) but yup mommy has to see that one... hehe

Java don't take asprins if your trying to stop the caffeine cuz they have more caffeine then coffee! thing is when you try to stop coffee you get mean headaches! haha

I have to have one cup a day or I get a headache but can't really drink more then two or I get all jittery and hate that feeling...

Goodluck! (now put that cup down! I can see you sneaking it right now!) hehe
Reply #565 Top
hehehe, should just let the boys stay over at their aunt's and then you take your hubby to Blade II =P
Reply #566 Top
nah, the next movie on top of my list to go see and can't wait for is "Scooby Doo" but It's not released yet

that one will be a must see for me... hehe
Reply #567 Top
hehe.

My movies I'm waiting on impatiently is Star Wars and The Two Towers
Reply #569 Top
Good lord.. Scooby Doo is at the top of someone's list? I'm sorry, but there's just no way that can be any good.

Then again, this comes from someone claiming that aspirin contains caffeine. Aspirin contains aspirin. Excedrin, Advil Migraine, and some other stuff adds caffeine to "enhance" the effects of the other painkillers.

/me sips his morning coffee and wonders what you'd get if you crossed Blade and Scooby Doo.....
/me thinks crae is getting confused

the masters you should be bowing to are chocolate and cats
Reply #571 Top
cross Blade & Scooby Doo? that sounds interesting!
/me grapples with the mental image of blade chasing scooby doo round a big room while waving a big sword.

of course, then you end up with scrappy doo chaising blade chaising scooby doo
Reply #573 Top
Scooby Doo crossed with Blade would be Shaggy and Scooby with a sword chasing vampires who turn out to be fake. Not much different then.

Shaggy is god, by the way.

/me bows down to Lord Shaggy
And Scooby Doo went to hell when they introduced that dumb scrappy. Booooring. Not to mention that stupid eighties version "13 Ghosts of Scooby Doo"...
it is true, it never was the same after scrappy appeared.

thankfully i have never encountered that eighties version
