Msgboard Chatroom Marathon

Honestly, I would go to IRC for this kind of stuff, but if any of you have been there recently, everyone seems to be...inactive. Sooooooooo, out of boredom, I'm turning a thread among this msgboard into a chat room, anyone care to join? =P.

It's Sunday night, and I'm bored out of my mind. There's much to do, but I'm too lazy to get around to do it. My boyfriend is busying trying to get Visual Studios to work so I can't talk to him on the phone....and we can't seem to talk over the phone anyways...it'll just be silence mostly.

New Semester started........so anyone alive out there to join Elffie in this chat marathon? =P

Let's try not to let this post hang for over 2 hours, hm? =P

Werewolf-"Hey KarmaGirl!!! I'm dressed the same and drinking same..."

Do your PJ's have little dogs and bones on them, too?

GM-"goodmorphing has had a severe sleepwalking problem forever and has discovered that it is far safer to wash and wash and wash shorts and tees until they are old and way, way soft! This solves the problem of waking up in the great outside public places and also the problem of not wanting to get dressed to do the around-the-house-surfing thing."

If I was wearing shorts and a T-Shirt, I would freeze. It was only about 15 degrees here last night, and we only heat our house to about 68 (we have a somewhat large house, and it costs too much to heat any warmer than that). We have a high of 30 today, and have about 4 inches of snow on the ground. My husband took my daughter snowmobiling last night. She came home crying because she didn't want to stop.

FL-"HURRUMPH! Just starting work...and it's snowing. Not much here in town but about 4" where I live."

Sounds a lot like the weather around here!

Feline-"we only spank you because we care"

That reminds me of the Monster's Inc. slogan- "we scare because we care"

Hope everyone is having a great day! Hi!

The snow here is melting! Never stops long, only in those rare bad winters. A quick conversion from C to F tells me it's 35° here at the moment, with the forecast for Saturday night about 20°. When I went to bad last night it was raining heavily with a temp of about 50° - you can imagine the shock I got this morning!

/me doesn't like cold weather - it makes chocolate too hard

feline: if you are a good fuzzy, you can do the spanking next time

Does this mean if I'm naughty I get to spank now?

32 degrees F is 0 C. So, 17 is *cold*! Luckily, I grew up far north of here around a lot of water (lake effect snow) so the weather here seems very mild. It looks like the high for this week is 35, so it's going to be a chilly week!

Actually mine have Sponge Bob Square Pants with his chefs hat on, blasting off with the rockets under his shoes.

Hi feline...at least I think that's feline...hard to tell in the middle of this dang pile of people and fuzzy creatures...

hey someone get their dang toe out of my ear!!!

Actually, I feel your pain. When it gets as low as 70 here, I feel cold. Any lower and I start complaining, putting hot water bottles in my bed, and even actually put a sheet and sometimes a blanket on my bed! It's 73F (23C) so I'm not actually shivering yet...

/me points out that it is impossible to be cold in the middle of this big squirming furry pile!

I notice that feline has found a way to come play with us! After waking up and coffee... I will have to come flip the page back to see the rest of everything...

I am kind of getting used to turning pages now.

coffee? Did I hear somebody mention coffee????

KG: we only heat our house to about 68

Hawaiian houses are not even built with heating in mind. Most of us have nothing... no fireplaces, no central heaters. Closing the window sometimes helps (but I love fresh air and all of mine are open all the way always). Somewhere I have some sweatpants...it has been mild the last few years, though, so I haven't needed them.

When I first came here I thought it would be really, really cheap. After all, a bikini has only a tiny bit of material... I thought it would not cost as much as a goose down ski coat. But I was wrong, wrong, wrong... even with no heat utility bills are high. Even with less than a yard of material, a bikini can cost as much as a coat!

Goodmorphing: Try putting flannel sheets on your bed...works wonders when there's a chill in the air.

I love flannel sheets! So warm and soft! I look forward to winter so that I can get the flannel sheets out....

Of course, my favorite time of year is in the fall when it is warm enough to go outside without a coat, but gets colder at night requiring you to snuggle with the hubby.

I have t-shirt sheets... one step down from flannel. I forgot about them, they are usually too hot.

/me found out that you have to follow that / me command with something or it won't work.

But what if you don't want a hubby?

/me prefers something warm and furry, like a big teddy bear, or a real bear but they're hard to find over here

Does anybody know why they even call them Teddy Bears? I'm just wondering. "A Stupid Morning thought"

Weaksid. Teddy Bears are named after 'Teddy' Theodore Roosevelt.
