FL, you "Christmas" sounds a lot like ours. We aren't religious (neither my hubby or I) but we like to have the celebration. My hubby drinks rum and coke while he puts up our fake Christmas tree (my daughter laughs when he wraps all the lights around himself to put on the tree) then my daughter and I decorate it. It is also a time to make a lot of sweets and get together with friends and family. I also like to give gifts to people and do nice things, so this gives me a chance to do it! I like to make people handmade gifts for Christmas, too. It adds a bit of personal touch. I'm sad because this year I don't have time to make my traditional stained glass ornaments People will probably be mad at me

/me erases all the responses... don't feel good enough to play right now.

'Sides, Honolulu is getting buzzed by low flying helicopters and an extremely low and fast flying formation of military jets and it is making me really scared. Nothing on the news, though. But that formation set off all the car alarms and was so low you could almost wave at the pilots....

/me *cries* I'm so tired of war and harshness...

I am sure that they all understand and are glad to simply have time with you and in your thoughts. Maybe you can wrap up a quick drawing of an ornament and tell them it is a rain-check?

YIKES! Now the helicopters are doing it. Those big huge black ones, flying so low and in formation... why are they doing that? I want them to stop it!

/me suspects that they are working for the ant-acid companies, and anxiety pill companies. They had me nearly in tears this morning! I think a big city in the middle of alerts about air traffic is kind of bad timing to buzz a big city.

Oh no! It's well past midnight again. Must go to bed. I'm tired and starting to go a bit loopy. I'm going cross eyed too from spending all night on this damned pc. Been working on my new skin. Got a start panel, task bar, frame and some buttons...mmmm it's starting to look good, my best work yet. Need more energy though.

The Doc yanked my arm around a lot, gave me an injection and is sending me to physical therapy for four weeks. He said something in the tendon, and also "frozen sholder". /me knew he was going to do that and make me cry! That was the worst part.

/me stops by briefly for warm fuzzies, snuggling, hugging, a Hershey's kiss and then he's back to the song spinning...

GM, I hope you start healing. Tendons can be a real problem. If you quit moving them, they'll heal too short and tense, if you move them, they will heal right, but they will get inflamed and hurt like hell. Did you get cortisone injections? Those things usually hurt like hell. I have a tendon problem in my right wrist (great for typing). The tendon swells up so much sometimes that I get a huge lump on my wrist. i then have to go in to cortisone injections. It sucks. Once you get a tendon problem, it doesn't seem to ever completely get better. I hope the physical therapy helps out.

Hmmm...I've never actually made a skin before. I made a Logon once (It's a funny picture of Frogboy) which I passed around the office, but that's about it. Might have to try making one. Seems like I should, since I work here and everything!

* there is good access to cuddles and tickles
* there are near by places to hide if something scarey happens
* it looks like cat toys may be on the horizon

goodmorphing - Sometimes people thrive in an atmosphere that is a little less enriched in love and tickles and chocolate than you find in here, but they want to be here anyway. To do that they build a little biosphere and fill it with the things they do feel comfortable with.

Time for a little physical therapy, my love. It will hurt, but KarmaGirlJavaBean is right, if you don't move it around, the tendon will heal short and that is really hard work to fix, so...

/me is going to help GM's shoulder heal correctly and will hold her tenderly when the pain gets too intense.

Can you put in a thing to select a specific page? It would take a while to get to 57 from the first page or from the last page.

Also, the number of replies doesn't match up to the last post number. Seems to be off by 3
