Dec. 1. The first message of the month is from Old Crab. Happy Holidays everyone. Christian, Muslims, Jewish, Pagans, Hindu, Agnostics, and Athiets too! Have a safe and happy holiday season. Buy lots of bric and brac, trinkets galore. Go to the Fantasy MSGB shopping mall and clear it out! Everything from Computers to chocolate is 95% off! OC will now retire to his Treehouse for a pipe and Ale. And much needed nap.

I shall be putting my tree up today, with all it's lights and decorations. Being non religeous I don't celebrate christmas. But the tree tradition goes back 3000 years to a time before all this modern religeon c*** and is a symbol of life in mid-winter. Seems a worthwhile celebration to me.

/me thinks the world would be a better place if people stopped looking skyward for inspiration and looked to each other instead

/me also thinks we should celebrate the glory of trees. For without them we wouldn't have a forest to play in...

p.s. I don't have a 'real' tree, I don't believe in chopping down and murdering trees to celebrate the life of trees...!

We had a bad summer with forest fires. There was speculation that had we practiced good forestry, then it wouldn't have happened since they would have been thinned to a healthy state, and deadwood cleaned out. Dono if taking Christmas trees counts as forest cleaning since they mostly come from tree farms.

They sell Christmas trees in front of my house. Right now it smells so good!

Sometimes people thrive in an atmosphere that is a little less enriched in love and tickles and chocolate than you find in here, but they want to be here anyway. To do that they build a little biosphere and fill it with the things they do feel comfortable with. things like accusation, discord, disharmony... stuffs like that. Sigh, it is hard to understand what those things must feel like but it seems to be essential. So it might help if you consider those individual posts to be tiny little biospheres, self contained with stuffs that are deemed necessary for some reason by the inhabitant.

/me points out that some bubble boys did eventually get cured and didn't need their spheres. In the meantime...
