You have not stated once how they are different. I personally don't think you have used Corel Photopaint very much based on what you've said.

Putting down American culture and other people's intelligence is no substitute for a convincing argument.

You seem to have the classic "I'll build myself up by putting others down" complex.

Objects and Layers perform the same functions. YOu have yet to specify a single difference between the two. You just resort to insults and put downs.

BTW, Corel Draw is a vector based program. Photopaint is raster. The two perform very different functions.

Lancer, I find it rather funny - if not entirely sad - that you're talking about the shallowness of the USA culture, insinuating that we don't think for ourselves, and complaining about 'authentic and good design' when most of what you've done since arriving here is troll for comments, put people down, rip other people's work without regard, and leave sarcastic comments on other's themes.

One would think that if you wish to be a part
of this community that you would make some attempt to play well with others and follow generally accepted guidelines of behavior...

Lancer...
You are entitled to your opinion on which graphic proggy is better.
Based on your several years of use, you may have formed a valid 'opinion'.
However...
Be very careful when discounting others' opinions, whose experience of these programs may, in fact, be far greater than your own.
There can be nothing more embarrassing than to berate a proggie's performance to someone, only to discover that they actually wrote it. [not necessarily the case this time, but I can assure you that you are truly 'new' to digital graphics in comparison to others here].

Also, please note that personal attacks and comments just to be 'annoying' are not tolerated.

By the way Lancer, if you have so much problems with the US of A, why do you prefer Photoshop?
FYI: Photoshop: USA company
Corel: Canadian company
And don't come and say that Canada and the USA is the same thing, I'll make you eat your hat!!

Well, just so you don't get anal on me. When I wrote:
Photoshop: USA company I should have wrote:
ADOBE: USA company

What? Corel is Canadian?

In the end it all comes down to what you're used to. I've started off in vector land with CorelDRAW, so compared to that, I find Illustrator and Freehand to be horrible programs. Similarly, with bitmaps, I started with Photoshop, so there I find PhotoPaint is the quirky one.

Lancer...by 'truly new' I was referring to your age and experience. If you are 21 years old and have been using digi proggies for 9 years, I'll let you into a secret.
My first encounter with computers and computer coding/programming happened over ten years before you were born.

And I am certainly not the only one...
