Questions about zealous Worship and Confluence of the Unity

I have several questions about the Confluence of the unity skill. The Zealous Worship  increases culture spread rate by 5% so with both upgrades it nets me 10% culture spread rate increase. My question is this: normally i'd go for Unwavering belief going from 10% to 15% to 20%. But what's with Confluence of the Unity? Does that stack with the zealous worship tree? Since Confluence increases culture even more.

Also a possible bug: if ive got zealous worship and unwavering belief, ive got 20% culture spread rate, yet Confluence still says "culture spread rate: 10 to 20% percent." shouldn't it be 20 to 30% by then?

I'dappreciate if someone can clarify this for me

Confluence of the Unity also simply increases culture spread rate, like Zealous Worship and Unwavering Belief etc. They should update the infocard of the Cunfluence of the Unity research subject when you already have Unwavering Belief researched. Right now the description remains the same. The tech does work the way it should, though (as SithLortAJ pointed out in some other thread).

As of beta 2a, the infocard has updated, but it has confused me even more, it seems odd that for a Tier 1 upgrade, Confluence says 30% -> 60% culture spread rate, and further in the tree, still has Unwavering Belief go from 10% to 15%. That would seem redundant if the enemy culture spread rate would be really increased by 60% from Confluence of the Unity which seems OP in my opinion.

It only seems overpowered, according to other players testing it the rates before the patch were increased by such a small margin using those researches that they probably figured a bigger number would make the research more useful in earlygame and the Advent (Rebels was it?) stand apart more in their researches.

Its a Loyalist only tech, I find that even the Advent Loyalist doesn't really have an advantage with culture. I had a planet with 4 communion centers, and the enemy (advent rebels) had also 4). I had done all upgrades culture related and yet I my culture didnt push the enemies' culture away, also there were no cap ships that could've repelled the culture. Perhaps culture is still a little buggy with the latest patch?

 

Edit: I also find that with 2 rounds fired at the same planet with the Deliverance Engine, I never even got a glimpse of the gravity well, the rounds just didn't do anything.
