Congratulations! Hope that is Low cal food you learned about to help in your weight loss endeavor! Good luck! :meow: <3 :inlove: I think 1KG = about 2.2 pounds so you are looking at about 20 pounds or so to loose. I know you can do it!

Cantgratations Shaunna. Both on your new culinary skills and on your weight loss program.

I have to shed 30 lbs. So if 1 kg = 2.20462262 lbs. and I need to lose 30 lbs that's...wow...66.1386786 kg!

sorry...I 'Binged' it.

Shaunna, so many problems happen because of extra weight. Proud of you that you did your course and are now a healthier person for doing it!

@ Uvah: Nope. That's 13.61 kg. :)

I have gone from 130kg to 93.5kg. Unfortunately, since hubby came home from the Middle East I'm back to 100kg

I think loosing the initial 36.5kg was easier than re-loosing what I gained since he came back.

Windows 7 calculator has a conversion function. Click on view and you will see it. I've used it many, many times while gaming to have a reasonable unit-based conversation (usually about weight of all things) Although I didn't impress a Brit I met by telling him I weighed 20 stone

A different restaurant nearly every night when he first got home (he was working in the ME for 8 years) then after it always seems he gets home and is hungry when I have already eaten (as per habit) so, since I didn't want to say "no", off I would go. Now he has fallen victim to yet another sign of the recession and had his hours cut back, so eating out is not happening. Perhaps it will be back on track.

Best thing a person can do is really cook and eat in. GO SHAUNNA! It does help to have a kitchen bigger than 6x6 (2x2m) and a housemate who is addicted to food but not cleaning. I grew weary of doing all the dishes and counters before I could cook years ago. The house we lived in before when we could pay rent had a kitchen 6ft wide and about 20ft long - with a dishwasher. You could eat off of those counters.

Anyone who learns to eat healthier deserves a big reward. Anyone who actually cooks needs a big kiss or something (not me, I'm the hugging type)

Makes it fool proof! I went from 77KG to 58KG but that was 20 years ago! Completely changed my way of eating and continue to do it today! I like that 58 sounds so much smaller than 128! <3 RND, I have that Possum recipe! My Mother In Law loved it! Got the recipe from her sister. I never ate it.

One of my gaming friends is Swedish. She is 1.7m tall and weighed about 43k. We chatted both in game and on MS Messenger a few times a day. I'd  urge her to eat her snacks and she'd cheer my progress. Her doctor was great, I wish we had some like that here. She was active in all care, like the long time ago country doctor, but would send her for tests if needed (to make sure the anorexia was not hiding/creating other problems) She said that she would come over and personally take my friend to the hospital if she didn't gain weight and I believe she might have. When my friend was up nearly to 50k she got the "flu". After over a week of vomiting, which is bad if you are trying to gain weight, she discovered that she would have the "flu" for another 9 months. It's probably been a year since she has played and quit because she was busy. I quit not long after that because I couldn't afford it. We chat on Facebook once in a while.

Having a "diet buddy" is really good, even if your buddy is going the opposite direction weight wise. Maybe it is even better.

(for the non-metric folks, my friend was over 5'8" and looked like a model. Her weight was about 90lbs when she started. She was about 120lbs when she found out she was pregnant. She ate so well during pregnancy that she was about 130lbs when he was born - and fussing about her weight. Last we spoke about it she was around that weight and didn't care, her son was taking all her attention)

Thanks guys I plan on keeping up with the weight loss I am sick and tired of  carrying  this extra weight around,  and as Doc said it does cause all sorts of problems and most of them are in my family I want to try to avoid  them as much as I can, cos I hate being sick at the best of times  I see the Doctor next week  so that she can give me the OK to do it  its a physical  so that we can work out a plan for me and stick to it.  the physio guy said  that a goal needs to be achievable  so my plan will be to loose 10 kg in 10 weeks  I know I can do it  and I am the only one that can  and as he said no-one else can do it for me I know its going to take work and time , and I got plenty of it.
