download quetsion

once downloaded, what do i open it with?? i downloaded this christmas border for my PC but i dont know what to open it with!!! can anyone help? thanx..

ok, first things first... What "Christmas border" did you download? What section did you get it from?

Second: Every category on this site is for resources that require certain programs in order to be used. For example, if you download a WindowBlind Skin, you MUST have WindowBlinds installed before you can use it. None of the components are intended to be used without its respective program, save for the wallpapers. You can find links to each program when you click ontheir respective category.

OK, it's WindowBlinds. Once you've downloaded it, if WindowBlinds is installed, it should be automatically loaded into the skin list. To apply the skin, go to Display Properties and then to the Appearance tab if on WinXP, otherwise look in the Skins tab. The skin list should be the first combo box on the left.

If the skin is *not* there, go back to the website and right-click the download link - select "Save to file..." and put it somewhere you can remember. Then go to the dialog as above and click the Add button, then select the downloaded file. The skin should then appear in the skin list.
