Hello, my name is DreamerX, and I am new... and I have no clue how to create anything, anything at all. I stumbled over this website though, and it all intrigued me to the point where I had to register and I hoped to learn and create skines and themes as nice as the ones which are shown. If anyone can help me, please e-mail me at [email protected], I am only asking for guidelines and any tips one can give me. THank you so much..

Hi DreamerX, welcome to our little world. If you want to get into desktop customization, you will need a few programs to start customizing. You could start small, with programs like QuickNotes, or Beatnik clock, or you could go for something that completely changes the way your desktop looks and works. This would involve using something like Window Blinds, and DesktopX, or maybe even Litestep. (Litestep is not very esy for beginners though.)
Once you are comfortable with the way these programs work, you will want to create your own themes and skins. To make a skin you will need some form of image editing program like "Photoshop", or "Paintshop Pro".
You can always come here for help and advice, that is what this community is about.

They have some cool stuff to customize your computer, and you can get demo versions of most of their stuff. Have fun, and if you need help, don't be afraid to ask.
