SDC Crash

Hopefully this is the right place to post this

I'm running SDC 2.02.312 build 75 and it has been running fine for weeks until today when I tried resetting the list (I'm only viewing WC General, normally).

As soon as it downloaded the new list SDC just unloaded with no error mesages anywhere (no systemlog entries or Smartexeption logs).

Now it's permanent whenever I try to open the 'discussion' frame in SDC - all the others work fine. Deleting the ini files just repeats the download+crash event.

I've emailed Stardock support & posted on the Stardock news group but I was just wondering if anyone else is experiencing this?

I get a similar crash with SDC and SkinBrowser. The WC Discussion frame crashes it. So do the skin updates for Skinbrowser. I did a complete wipe and reinstall with no luck.

Actually, looking at the downloaded ini files that drive the forums and the Updated Skins, the WC forums and Updated ini's don't have carriage returns, so they're one long line. That's probably choking the two browsers. The GalCiv forums are formatted correctly.

Looks like there's a bug in the Stardock servers right now.

My stardock central is working ok now, but I still can't seem to get the wc-browser to stop crashing. Was having a problem with the stardock central crashing when I went into either WC-help or WC-skinning under the discussions area. However I solved that problem by going into "C:\Program Files\stardock\SDCentral\discussion" and deleting the WC-help and WC-skinning ini files. Then restarted SD central and went back into each allowing SD central to download new INI files. But I still can't figure out why the WC browser is shutting down at random though?

Everything seems to be working fine now? Using the WC browser right now to enter this. All discussions work in both Stardock central and WC browser.

Yep, all is working fine once more. Looks like a server-side problem that's been fixed now.

I notice the newsgroups are currently offline

Are there storms in Livonia right now?

Yeah, it's working now. I had to delete my old ini files or the WC browser would crash immediately on entering discussions, but the new ones work just fine.
