Hi,

As I have been collecting more stuff on my pc I've noticed a problem with DeskScapes that I would like some help with solving.  I have had DeskScapes show all Dreams and wallpapers by having it show Videos Dynamic Hybrid and Wallpapers. 

The problem comes in when I have Wallpapers checked.  Deskscapes starts working the hell out of my HD as it builds a library of "Wallpapers" in DeskScapes that includes every BMP file on my machine even the stuff in WB themes.

Why is this happening?  I have it set to show only the default wallpaper folder.  For now I have to turn off displaying wallpapers to get it to stop placing hundereds of nonsense images in the DeskScapes Background choices.

Anyone know what I can do to fix this so it only displays real wallpapers?

Have you installed a printer or some image managing software ?  HP had me install a wrong version of Photosmart Essentials on my last rig, and it did something very similar. It wanted to catalog all, (as in 10's of thousands.) images on my PC.

I found the problem.  DeskScapes shows the path it is searching when you open it and click on the Show all folders button near the Search box at right.  There was an errant windowblinds folder there. 

Not sure how it got there but it was at C;\windows\web\wallpapers\windowblinds... I deleted it.  A file copy operation gone bad??  User error??  Probably something like that.  Problem solved.

Glad you got it sorted out. What WB was it, if I may ask, or was it all windowblinds?

It looks like it was my entire WB theme folder from about 09/15/11.
