Check out the Objectbar and IconPackager programs; there are a few XP themes here for those.

Not to disagree with Paxx (oh no, never) but I don't hold with this half-stepping. Go to Windows XP for Convergence by Frogboy in Convergence.
Or get .NET for DesktopX by The_Artist and see what XP may evolve into.

Muletman: I don't know how much you know about desktop customization, but just to avoid confusion, if you are going to use skins and themes you will need the programs that they are made for, i.e., IconPackager, DesktopX, Window Blinds etc. You can get shareware versions of most of these if you haven't already got them.
Have Fun!!

Hehehe! Larry, please disagree as much as you want; be my guest, it'll just give me something new to argue about! hihihi!

The Windows XP for Convergeance theme does mainly consist of an IconPackager, an Objectbar theme and a Windowblinds skin (and how could I have forgotten to mention Windowblinds in my first post! DOH!!).

All i wanted to know is if its possible to completely convert my boring win2000 desktop to a more cool looking winxp of course i know that some file need desktopx iconpackager windowsblinds what i was asking is what author has produced all the windowsxp designs or can you name which one's i need, also iconpackager does it change all windows icons even the one's on say windows explorer

No IconPackager doesn't change your Explorer toolbar icons. You need WebBlinds for that (some sort of Windowblinds just for Explorer but it changes also the icons and the throber).
Here are my recommendations:
WindowsXP plus for ObjectBar: http://scripting.wincustomize.com/skins.asp?library=4&SkinID=13
LunaXP 2485 for WindowBlinds: https://www.wincustomize.com/skins.asp?library=1&SkinID=1845 (includes an IconPackager theme)
LunaXP 2485 for WebBlinds: https://www.wincustomize.com/skins.asp?library=11&SkinID=40

You should be pretty much set much like XP with those; the next best thing will be to get XP itself.

The best thing about XP is NOT its looks, but its OS. The GUI is gooey. Put LiteSTEP on it and you have a REAL system......and find a Windowblinds skin that is as little like XP as possible and yer laughin'.....

You know Jafo, I'm really shocked at myself. Remember when that plethora of Luna skins hit the sites? My reaction was pretty much the same as most: "oh not another one..." "get on with it..." etc... But now that I've got XP, I'm finding I kind of like it.. I think I need my head checked.

If I'm not bored with it by next week, I'm going to leave the PC scene and become a game ranger...
