You will need to go to  C:\Users\your name\AppData\Local\Stardock\DesktopX and find and delete the Current Theme folder.  Then launch DX and select a theme to load.

*Note: You may need to go to Folder Options/ View and select Show hidden files, folder and drives. AppData is hidden by default.

Or, you can get there by simply clicking "open desktop data folder" in DX Config. Delete what is in there.

But, the one you made is stored where? DX should be loading it. Did you save your changes? Did you modify the one that keeps loading and forget to save changes?

That still shouldn't cause what is happening. Unless you loaded another without saving changes.

Whenever you either alter an existing theme, or make your own, you must save your changes.

What version of DX?

When you access the data folder from within DX, once you delete the stuff, don't try to access anything in the current theme. Load a new or different one.

Also, if you're running Win 7, and you're gonna use DX a lot, do what I did.

When you get to the current theme folder, drag it to favorites in the tree view at the left. This makes a shortcut to the current theme folder for easy access without having to show hidden files and folders.  This can probably be done in Vista too.
