656 people were logged on at the same time here just a moment ago....that's the highest number I have seen.
No wonder the site drags its heels from time to time....

perhaps, in the very near future, folks iwll have the option of going to places they remember form skinnings old days, and soem of the load will be taken off here...

Deskmod is returning, adn there are other things afoot.

perhaps this site can be the official XP Cult site, and skinners of other programs will migrate to faster, more varied fields?

sorry.. too tired to say anything else

I have been to all of the "old" sites in the past and look forward to the return of DeskMod. I also welcome other "things" that may be in the works. I do, however, appreciate the hell out of this site. It has been extremely stable, reliable, diverse, and "welcoming". This is my "home" in the skinning community.

kenray have you looked at how popular the non xp stuff is? Its really popular. WCs the place where the most litestep skins are downloaded and the most coolplayer skins and the most dashboard skins and so on.

Only way to make the non pop culture popular stuff not rank to the top would be to censor it. I just go to the sections and find what I want.

Tandis missed my point, but thats okay. At least the discussion about jafo's premise is going on now.

(wink, wink...tandis...theres more to skinning than download numbers...don't tell the others...)

I agree download counts are everything. However, I think Eric's point was that people are using lots of different programs and skins.

In fact, it was you that made the XP cult comment which is not representative of most of what goes on today. It's just that those are the skins that happen to be currently getting the most downloads.

Like you said though, there is more to skinning than downloads.

There is more to skinning than download numbers. Yes, Kenray. That is true. There is also more to WC than XP. Are we done with this now?
