[CLOSED] Full Tiles is not activated

Hi,

I have made the payment for the Full tiles product.

I received in the download section of my stardock account the Tiles Setup.exe files to install (there is also a serial number)

I downlad this file and install it, But even when I go in the "Add features" section of the product, and I enter my login/pwd, none of the advanced feature is activated and my soft is not recognized as the full tiles product : it is exactly as if I add the free version?

Any ideas?

(I previoulsy already made a full uninstall of the free version, clean the registry, launch ccleaner, restart my computer)

Thanks

Did you make the purchase from the Tiles website or via in-app?  Also, did you purchase just one feature or the full version of the app?

In fact I have done both

First I tried to buy the custome page option( in app option), and as It didn't work (I just realized now the problem is that the system does not work in real time, almost 24h were needed), so then I bought the full product ( from the website, i have the serial number and the exe I installed)

But for both situation it is like as if I just had the free version : the in app activation does nothing! (and I don't see anyway where I may use the serial number which has been given to me)

Thanks for your help!

I'm not quite sure, but look at "Reply #1" in this post to see if it answers your question:

edit- Sorry, looks like you've already tried that.  I'll leave it here anyway.

Yes I have done this several times, but nothing happens : I still cannot add any page to tiles...

I tried to uninstall completely and to reinstall , but it doesn't change...

brando3636: Did you purchase in the app, or via the store?

Also to both of you, what is in the following folder on your machines :

C:\ProgramData\Stardock\Registrations

Ok I think I found unfortunately what happens. I installed the version of tiles on  my personnal computer at home and it works on it but not on my professional laptop

on my personnal computer I effectively have some files in this diresctory (tilessig2234.bin), but nothing on the professional laptop. and obviously if I copy the file on the professional laptop, the file disappear almost instantaneously)

I have the right to install anything on my professional laptop BUT i am not the administrator of the computer. I understand therefore that installing Tiles with in app options required full admin rights on the computer to work...

1) Is there any way to resolve this? (it was mainly for my professional use I found Tiles very useful and I guess I won't be the only corporate guy to face this issue...)

2) But I also still have a billing issue. I first paid for the custom page option and then for the full tiles software, and for the moment and i have only the right for the custom page through the activation in app process ...

In app purchases should not need admin rights as long as the app has the ability to write to that folder.

Yea, I think you'll neeed to talk to someone in support. They can look at your account and figure it out.

fabricepetesch, it appears when you made one of your purchases, you had a typo in your email address. Because of that, there were two different accounts in the system, one for each email address. So Tiles was only able to read one of these accounts (I believe the one with the purchase for the Custom Pages feature).

I have merged your two accounts together so you should now have access to the full feature set of Tiles. Just go to the Add Features configuration window and click on the “Activate existing purchases”, enter your logon credentials and it should unlock the main Tiles features.

brando3636,

Your account appears to be in order.  If you are still experiencing problems please either post here (or write to [email protected]) exactly what issue you are having and what actions you have taken.

I had the same problem and suspected that the reason was that while at work I was behind the company firewall/proxy which did not allow for communications with the servers to install/validate the extensions.

I took my computer home last night (luckily it is a laptop :-) ) and ran at home, installing confirming - now all is OK, including back at work.

Hi,

concerning my application on my computer at home everything works fine.(full update, full features): this is great : Thanks!

BUT......

on my laptop from a public internet connection (no firewall, no proxy), when I click on "activate existing purchase" , no update is taken into account (I installed the Tiles version which is in my download section) => I cannot add any other page, still like the free version.

In Program data/Stardock/registrations, the directory is empty. I can add manually any files, but no files is visible (there is no .bin files) . The directory itself seems to be in read only mode (I am not admin on my latpop even if I can install anyhting i want) this is what appear when I click on properties of the directory with left click from explorer.

Is there any way to tell the software my licence is good? Is there a way to put the .bin file manually ? (I need Tiles on my laptop, not really on my personnal computer)

If you purchased the full product vs just a feature you may find running TilesConfig ACTIVATE from a command prompt will allow you to activate ok.
