GUI Championships 2012

Greetings!

I just wanted to give all skinners fair warning that we WILL be having a GUI Championships competition in Fall of 2012.

The categories will include:

* WindowBlinds skins

* IconPackager themes

* DeskScapes animated backgrounds

* Static Desktop backgrounds (traditional windows wallpapers)

* And Possibly, depending on when Windows 8 ships, skins for a new, unannounced, Object Desktop program

Very exciting news! There's always been ample amounts of excellent skins come out of the GUI Championships. Often times of Master quality. I really feel it brings out the best in all the artists. Really looking forward to it!

Great outstanding news, the folks especially those that enjoy using colours in all aspects of a skin will be working hard.

I think many of the new WB skinners and non masters are actually doing better work. I personally think many of the master skinners have become to complacent in their work and are not as imaginative as maybe they once were.

Hmmm..... sounds interesting. I'm not generally a competition person, but I might make an exception and enter something eeeeeevil and colder than a polar bears cold bits in the Iconpackager category.
