OK, enough is enough

I vote for deleting the agressive threads.

Not for censorship, but just to put a stop to all the hatred going on right now...

You have my vote. It served its purpose.

I for one agree with you but that's what started the "hate" in the first place Brad deleted an aggressive thread and got called a Nazi.

l0c's spanking may be good for the community in the long term. It will make people think twice about starting vile threads in the future if they know that the community won't stand for it.

I agree Tandis, but we all know where we stand now. That is why I said it served its purpose. There is no point in going any further.

I've seen my share of threads around paxx and when a thread is done it just rolls off the board...

as uncomfortable as some of these 100+ post threads get for the ppl involved usually at the end of them, more ppl know who each other is whether it be bad or good...

God knows I've had my own 100+ thread and got beaten up good, but I'm still here and Brad does not need more grief for deleting another thread

(though of course he can do what he wishes)

just my opinion

Jark probably made a good decision over at DA to stop the nazi thread as soon as possible.

yes that was at DA MadIce, if the threads get deleted over here at Wincusto trust me it will be a diff story! as is every move Brad makes...

they are already out there, maybe if the threads were caught early on...

With the exception of Doreen's (well said)
post...

I think I'm going to be sick!

Leave the threads alone. Deal with it. If they gets to nasty or painful for you, stay out of them. Let it iron itself out.

It just hurts to see read some of the things that have been written. But I must admit that the tone seems to be softening down a little. Lets hope the tendency will keep up.

The thread at DA was not deleted. It is still there. It has been closed. If a thread is deleted here, then it could be deleted by any admin, not just Brad. As far as I can see Paxx has enough of it. In fact so do I. We have dealt with it.

Don't you start getting sick in this thread.

oh you mean you can no longer post to it?
I stopped reading that thread after it got to me so I have not visited it again. (me reads the poetry everyone hates over there more then the msg board)

well I dunno how that stuff would work really closing up a thread??? =/

I still think these threads take their own life on and die when their ready...

Geez! The only thing missing are some f'n flowers

I suppose we should burn all the history books because WWII was too hurtful and painful?

People were (are?) p1ssed off. Let them vent. Leave it alone. It will die out soon enough.

MadIce: I will if this peace-nick(sp?) talk doesn't stop.

/me loves loves flowers, but hates to give them water.

Anyway, I can always use the water to clean up this thread.

What has happened to the "/me" command. Did I miss something? And oh, forget about the double loves. One love is enough

Yes, any admin has the capacity to delete a thread and/or a post.
It is, however, something not done lightly.
So far, my score has been...
A dozen or so 'double posts' that were errors of tremulous fingers [or something]..
And a thread which included a warez link in the lead post which necessitated the full thread's removal....[ it had about 2 respondents who essentially were wishing the thread author a fond farewell].

There are reasonable standards and codes of conduct that 'should' be followed on a public access site such as this which require dilligence of supervision.
DeviantArt, for example prided itself on being very open and liberal...anything goes......trouble was, anything/everything came.
Now, they, too have found it necessary to cap the exuberance of youth just a little...and the 'closing' of threads from further comment is one 'good way'[tm]....

I think threads should be left alone. Two reasons:

1. I love flames
2. Deleting a thread is like pretending it had not happened, as in: not good. Listen to Doreen and Orion.

Ofcourse threads on DevArt are a whole different ball game. I can remember times when threads there actually did make sense (ofcourse, the board was rather dead in those days).
