Etta James (listen to what this lady does with a beautiful song)... incredible blues singer is terminally ill with Leukemia, Kidney Failure and Dementia.

For her... a prayer for G-d's mercy and a truly heartfelt "Thank you for the beauty you gave this world".

 

May she not suffer. May her voice go on forever. The angels will soon have a new voice in the choir. And what a voice. Pure Soul.

I have a couple of Etta James records and have always remained in awe of her amazing voice.  May her suffering be lifted and her remaining time with us be peaceful and serene.

The 73-year-old blues icon is breathing on her own, after she was previously placed on a respirator Dec. 21.

Thank you for the update, Jim. Although her illness has rendered her remaining life short at best.

Interestingly, "At Last" was the song Beyonce sang for the President and First Lady at the Inaugural Ball. 

Beyonce related that playing Etta James' character improved her immense talent through the suffering in Etta James' life.
