Brad Wardell, a good guy!

Brad Wardell, a good guy!

In light of recents posting I just wanted to step back and reflect on the real Brad Wardell. I've known Brad for many years and I hate to see it when people try to portray him as a negative person. So I just want to take a moment to tell you about the Brad I know.

Brad is a kind and generous person, I've seen him go out of his way many of times to help other people.

Brad works from home as often as possible so that he can spend more time with his wife and kids which he adores so much.

Brad makes business decisions that are based on whats best for his employee's and not necessarily for the company.

Brad is a fun guy to be around.

Brad takes time out of the day to not just play with his kids but also plays with the neighbors kids as well. Essential, he is a big kid himself.

Brad smells. (ok, so he's not perfect)

The cliche actions speak louder than words rings true here. The frog has done many good deeds. And the more successful you are, the more tempting others are to try to make themselves big by trying to belittle ya. .

Yeah, Frogger is a pretty good guy for a Conservative.

DavidK,

"They irritate you because they are the parts of your own being that you cannot face honestly"

That's great, first time I see or hear what I believe from another person, I am glad that I am not the only one who understands this rule of life

adni, it's an well known behavior that psychologists call "projection". Most people tend to do some projection once in a while.

Is Brad a good guy, I believe he is.

Is the Frog over passionate and quick on the MB draw sometimes definatly. Does he type on a level that not all understand, yes.

Do these things make him bad, no. he has slowed on the draw in the last day or so and he types adult. Not much he can do there... The teens will eventually catch up.

Basically sometimes it's easy to type or speak someting that make complete sense to you and those who have the same amout of education about the subject. The problems come when someone who reads or hears it doesn't have that same level of education about the subject.

Random thoughts from TasT

BTW Frog when you gonna make it down here to Branson so I can see if you really smell?

Ah, the power of cheese.

It is so easy to forget you're dealing with humans when the relationships are "virtual."
I think it gets easy to lose site of the human factor and focus on competition.

Jafo,

Haha. My cheering? Just when did I ever cheer? =P

In the name of ass kissers everywhere I hereby bump this back to the top. because as Shoggot has explained it is normal to call people names it is not normal to say nice things about people.

"Funny part of the community today is that rants are excepted and threads like this are seen as fishy."

paxx,
Thank you for the information, I didn't know that the understanding, about what make us irritate in the other people actions, is called "projection".
Brad Rules! That's all I have to say.
adni, just to clarify. Projection is when something irritate you, but you project to others that irritation. For example if I said "You think I'm ugly" might actually mean that I, myself, think I'm ugly.

i only know Frogboy aka ''Brad'' from this site. and when he talks to people he doesn't agree with he always tries to convince them with reason. he does't make personal attacks. he doesn't call people names. i respect him for that even if i don't agree with him. and i also respect results. and like it or not, frogboy and his team have produced results. results that have benefited many.

Hum... Sorry, but I've seen Brad loose his temper too. And I was the one who drove him off the wall then. His words were not kind, I can assure you of that. But all that is in the past, and it hasn't afected the respect I have for the guy now. I am only know for sure he isn't perfect, neither am I and neither is anybody here.

He didn't say Brad is always kind. I've seen him not be kind. Everyone has days where they're not being very kind. But to use Shoggot's words, has Brad ever created a post calling someone a "fuckhead" (or Nazi)? Even as frustrated as he got with you (I must have missed that post) did he actall you a profane name or a Nazi? I doubt it.

That's the problem some of us, particular some of us at Stardock, have with some of what's been happening. The moral equivicating of it all. "Sure, l0c created a post calling Brad a Nazi right after his cohort Jier spent the weekend on DA callig him worthless, a criminal, and worse but Brad has been unkind in the past too" Unkind calling someone a Nazi or a criminal. And the reasons Brad has been called these awful names has been really lame such as Jier's response to Frog's Skinprimer or l0c's response to Frog's removing l0c's slanderous news item about a third party.

paxx,
After your good explanation, I must say that, “projection” is another situation from what it was posted above from me (and DavidK I suppose).

i never said "post", tandis - i just speculated, that at some point everyone (or damn close to it, folks like ghandi etc excepted) has called someone else a f*ckhead etc. The fact that brad (who wasn't mentioned in my original post on the subject at all) hasn't called anyone a f*ckhead in posts on the msgbd is irrelevant to my point.
