What in the community's name is going on here?

Okay guys. I admit, I haven't been around very often since college has been keeping me really busy and I'm just out of it too.

Then I decide to come back and visit wincusto...and find l0c and the entire community at it.

So..tell me..what in the world is going on here? I want the full story, please. No one is a bad guy, for crying out loud.

As a disinterested third party let me tell you what I saw --> On Saturday, l0c created a news item called "TGTSoft violated DMCA" and accused TGTSoft of breaking the law and saying they could end up in jail for what they did. They make a program that apparently patches system DLLs in XP to let others use XP's included theme format to work without Microsoft's approval.
A spirited discussion took place on the merits of l0c's accusations. Both Frogboy and l0c seemed to be on the same side in arguing that TGTSoft's method was a bit dodgy.
Some of TGTsoft's supporters came on and began questioning the validty of having a Stardock owned site having a news post that attacks a competitor of Stardock.
Frogboy tried to argue that the news item was created by l0c who is not affiliated with Stardock.
Grinder and other TGTSoft supporters argued that a news item is different than a message board post and that it looks bad that Stardock is allowing its flunkies to trash TGTSoft.
Frogboy agreed that it looked bad and stated that he would be removing the post in a few hours from then unless there were objections.
A few hours later, apparently, he deleted the news item.
This morning, l0c, enraged that his news item was deleted wrote a post on the message board entitled "Brad Wardell is a Nazi" with the rather weak accusation that Brad deleted his post because he was afraid of l0c had proven Brad wrong. His accusation is weak because to this observer, l0c and Frogboy were on the same side of the argument.
The 4 word summary is this --> l0c is a wanker.

Violating the DCMA huh? It's a crap law anyway.

But that being beside the point, I say turn em over to the sharks at Microsoft.

I was involved a bit in that thread. Poor frog stuck between a rock and a hard place. Hamster's description corresponds with my recollection.
