Changing Mainmenu backdrop video

I'm trying to change the video that plays in the background when the main menu is up but can't figure it out. I know it can be done because it's been done in the Stars mod.

 

Any ideas?

Um, the backdrop is a map!

The game cycles between planets on that map as menu selections are made.

 

To change it, convert the mainmenu.galaxy (I don't remember what it's called) to text and then edit it in Galaxy Forge.

Save the edit and then convert it back to binary, and then put it in a "Galaxy" folder of your modfolder.

 

You're good after that.

Actually its called Front End.

Note there are a lot of extra restrictions on this map. It must be a random map, some templates don't work etc.

Thanks, that's what I wanted.

It's the Frontend.galaxy file that does it.

Yep, you can do some cool things by changing this map around a bit.
