I Have Returned…..from Vacation!

My family and I haven’t taken an extended vacation in many, many years so we were quite overdue.  After much discussion we decided to take a 7-day cruise to the Western Caribbean.  We visited Cozumel, Belize, Isla Roatan, and Costa Maya.  Unfortunately, the weather didn’t cooperate most of the time and it even led to some of our pre-planned tours being cancelled.  That didn’t stop us from taking alternative tours and got to explore the countries to see both the typical tourist sites along with how people in those countries actually live.

Although we didn’t get much sunny beach time, one of the big highlights was visiting some Mayan ruins.  Very beautiful and interesting to learn the history behind it.

Here are a few pics and you can check for more on my Flickr page as I upload more when I get time.  I’d also like to say thanks to the WC team for covering for me while I was gone. :)

Awesome!  I hear you were sick too?  Bummer. Well, back to work, slacker..... :D

Have the photos been retouched, or is that just great camera work?

Glad you had a little R&R, so to speak.  The Mayans were very into skinning, you know, so hopefully you wrote the thing off.

Welcome back.

About all you missed were the Asian escorts wearing Uggboots ....;)

That'd be right... take a trip and I'm the last to know about it... as always.

Anyhow, I'm glad you made it back... err, didn't encounter Somali pirates and get held for ransom. :-"

Yeah, just be sure to take your sea legs AND seasick pills... maybe an airline-type 'upchuck bag' or 3... just in case. :puke:

Hmmm, seems I missed those as well... could have done with a remedial massage, too.... have a helluva stiff back and neck. ;)

It's called 'spam', Starkers.  The fact that you 'missed those' meant we were doing our job well...;)
