Well said. R.I.P., Mr. Jobs... but you were much too young.

He is going to be missed by all.  It feels like I grew up with him and the computer industry.  We were the same age.

Not only did he make Apple what it is today, he didn't take a back seat when it comes to influencing what home computing is today.  His energy will be missed.

Sad news - what a legacy and an impact though.  I'm not a huge apple fan boy, but he'll go down in the history books with bill gates and even Henry Ford.  I'm glad he had the wherewithal to step down when he did and hope his last days had some quality of life to them - sadly, I doubt that was the case (pancreatic cancer), but I'm sure he had family and friends close to him when his time came.

Lots of good articles on reuters.  Here's one in particular:  http://www.reuters.com/article/2011/10/07/us-apple-jobs-idUSTRE79472K20111007

RIP Steve Jobs. Your efforts have truly helped advance technology, not only apple products, but also by motivating the competition. You will be missed.

Tragic, just like any other death from cancer.  -_-

He was a man that had great ideas and had money to execute those ideas.  I'm sure he'll be missed, for awhile.  And in other news...roughly 70,000 people die in Africa every day from starvation.  But that's not really newsworthy is it?

I read yesterday that Samsung and Google held off on the release of their new Android phone in tribute to Steve Jobs... link

I never thought I'd see the day I'd say anything nice/good about Google, but that was a nice gesture.
