Free Icon Devloper is not so free

I downloaded what the site said was the FREE version of Icon Developer https://www.stardock.com/products/icondeveloper/downloads.asp but after install it says that this trial version will expire in 30 days. What's the deal?

If you bought ODNT (Object Desktop) then it is free for you. Why you'd download from stardock.com I don't know, but I'd advise you to uninstall the trial and (use ccleaner)  the registry links, or Revo uninstaller at medium strength and delete the values in bold font.

Then download and install Icon Developer from here:

joelore I took a look at the download page and it shows a free or paid version, nothing about a trial version.  This being the weekend I don't know that a Stardock rep will see this until Monday.  I myself do not have Icon Developer.

I will see if there is anyone in the Stardock IRC that can answer this for you.  :sun:

EDIT:  Ahhh, Doc is always around.

That link you posted is for those who purchaed Icon Develoer. If you look closely at this link:

https://www.stardock.com/products/icondeveloper/downloads.asp

It distinctly ahows a "FREE" version. But when i install it and run it it says "You have 30 days left on this trial version"

I downloaded the CursorFK Free version and it's woking fine, no trial version popups etc....

If your complaint is that the language is misleading, then send an email to [email protected]

I thought you were seeking to download Icondeveloper (if it's still available).

No, the link Doc posted is for all purchases of Stardock products which are on a user's account.
