Good Monday afternoon peoples. Bright sunshiny skies here in West Chester Pa where all we got was some wind and a little rain. Not so in other parts north and east of us. Most got slammed by the largest Cat 1 on record since 1908 according to some sources. Others say it was Katrina all over again but Irene is a little one compared to Katrina as far as power is concerned but not in size. Made land fall (as opposed to fand fall) quoting unnamed source...in NC as a Cat 1, missed most of southeast Pa but slammed NJ and NY big time.

Wanted to let you know I'm alive for anyone interested. Will be losing power again. Something happened here htat is very rear per the electric worker. A tree on the end of my block decided it didn't like the wires on the pole so took them out. It blew a transformer and that should have been it but it wasn't. Decided to wipe of the other 4 or 5 transformers on the road which shouldn't have happened. The electric company decided they could light up 50,000 people with the 5 transformers and leave our 3 block long road till later. Well that's it so my temp fix is just that and they will be working on the major fix later. I will say this that cold water while taking a shower is cold even in the summer.
