gadgets don't stay on when computer is turned back on.

I am able to run some sidebar gadgets but they turn off when I power the computer down. I have to open them separately when I turn the computer back on. Any help for this?

It might help if you provided a link to the sidebar gadgets that you are having a problem with.

It would also depend on which gadgets. Most sidebar gadgets are not made with Stardock products. And I think I'm correct in saying that Stardock does not offer support for Windows Sidebar gadgets. It's an MS thing, not a Stardock thing. ;)

But we users here at WinCustomize will try to help when we can.

That said, I'm sure Yrag might help you, if he sees this thread. You might PM him.

Answer this, please.  What OS are you running?

If you are using Vista, you need to set sidebar.exe to run at startup.

For 7, if gadgets are running when you shut down, they normally run on reboot. If not, then not.

I am using Windows 7. The gadgets are from wincustomize (wood gadgets). I have them set to run automatically with windows start up but they don't. Do I need to have impulse installed? Where should the gadgets be stored so they can run automatically if that is a problem?

%USERPROFILE%\AppData\Local\Microsoft\Windows Sidebar\Gadgets

Are these DX gadgets or Windows Sidebar gadgets?  If DX what version do you have installed.

They aren't sidebar gadgets. DX gadgets.

There is only one wooden sidebar gadget in the gallery. (by RedneckDude) It's a clock. There are no calendars or weather gadgets.

DX gadgets are not sidebar gadgets.

BTW,Waiting 50 plus days to repost your problem is not the most rapid way to get a solution.
