Galaxy Forge - Militia Colonize

hi there...

i have a problem with my map, i tried to set militia to colonize a planet and i would add some fregates, structures and capital ships...i know that there are a lot of threads about this, but most things i tried dont works for me...

thats what i've tried so far

----------------------------------------------------------------

1. only with galaxy forge

i set planetowner to "Militia#" (0,1,2...),

default templates off,

add a group (always, planetowner),

add some ships and structure.

...it works but only sometimes

----------------------------------------------------------------

2. with GF and editor

same as 1.

and then i changed colonizeChance to 1

...same result

----------------------------------------------------------------

3.

i changed the planetowner "RandomMilitia", "", "Militia" ...

... same result

---------------------------------------------------------------

It would be nice if someone could help me ... thank you ever

... sorry if I've made some linguistic mistakes but my English is not the best :)

there is two methods that I have used

1  the owner should be 'RandomMilitia',(usually works best when in a custom template)

2 add a colony frigate OR colony cap in the ships spawned( and I have even had both a default template AND specified ships spawned for a given GW( this method allows the colony to re-establish itself if it gets wiped out by pirates or superweapons untill the colony frigate/cap is destroyed)

hope this helps

With the "Custom Template" method it works. Not as comfortable as I would like it, but that does not matter. I've used the templates from sinsofasolarempire.wikia.com and I've tried a few things (much more than I wanted :) ) ...

1. It does not matter whether "RandomMilitia" or "Militia#"(# = 0-19) is used

2. Important is the type of template ... I had tried it first with "Always", "PlanetOwnerIsMilitia" and "PlanetOwnerIsMilitiaWithChance", but this dont works... with the type "NoPlanetOwner" it works, but in GF you cant spawn items for planetowner with this type...i dont know why it only works with this, but thats why i must use custom templates

thx a lot for help...

maybe someone could tell me why only this type in a custom template works for me?

I always use "Always" with militia groups and it works fine. However you set it up though, you can get the militia to own the planet by setting colonizeChance to 1.

I tried it again with a new map... you're right, it works with "Always"... I used the same template in my map and it dont works :annoyed:

but it does not matter, because my map works as it should now
