Incredibly Frustrated - when installing says it's already been installed.

Hello, please try and solve my problem. I used to have Objectdock free a while ago but now that I am trying again it says "already installed please update the software with impluse" this message comes up at the installer straight away. I don't understand why because there is no trace of ANY Stardock/Objectdock files on my pc, any idea what the problem is? :( I want to use this program but this problem is stopping me :/

Try running this to remove all traces of OD. Then reboot and try a re-install.

I hope you can solve it with the link Wizard1956 gave you. You should do what Hankers suggests, as well. If Wiz's suggestion doesn't help, if you have ccleaner, run the uninstaller and clean registry tool or if you have Revo uninstaller, do the same.... I think you have "left overs" which are interfering.

Hi, thanks for your quick replies. I have tried the ODNT zapper before, i tried it again to find the same thing - no files appear. I have sent a message to Stardock in an eMail. I ran Ccleaner and installed Revo uninstaller but still the problem occurs after absoloutely no trace of any Stardock/Objectdock files on my pc. :(

Have you ever done a restore? Look in windows explorer - do you have a "Windows.old" or the like?

If you do, you might well still have the program on your computer... and in your registry.
