Im new to modding my own system, Im starting out small trying to learn one thing at a time.. Ive got a studio 17 laptop running windows 7 and I3.

First thing thing i have been trying to do is set up a talking voice on start up. a greeting to myself. Ive been trying to use this script but keep getting errors with it

 


Dim speaks, speech

speaks=”Welcome, Master, How may I serve you”

Set speech=CreateObject(“sapi.spvoice”)

speech.Speak speaks


 

and saving it as a .vbs in the start up folder. but cant get it to work.

what am I doin wrong?

You need to create it as a .wav file and set your startup sound to it in Control Panel.
