Account Expired Message after renewing

I recently renewed my Object Desktop after it had expired in early June. Impulse will not allow me to update the registration no matter what I do-I have uninstalled and reinstalled several times, removed and re-added the registration for OD several times and still the same "Expired ref:3" message. I put in a ticket on the 29th of June and have gotten no response whatsoever. My credit card has been charged. This is getting ridiculous!

Impulse was sold to Game Stop.

Yes I have read that thread and nothing on it helped. I realize Impulse was sold to Game Stop but I don't see why this should affect me being able to renew my subscription. They have the money but I can't update anything or download anything new.

Yes I did. There are 2 Object Desktops in that link-one is the ultimate Object Desktop upgrade and the other is the Object Desktop renewal, both with the same serial number. The ultimate has a link for download but switches to a page not found screen. The renewal download link doesn't work at all-the page sort of "blinks" and stays right where it is and downloads nothing. I have tried everything I know to do and we are 10 days and counting with no response on my ticket with Stardock.

Here's another thread that may reassure you.  I would do your best to be patient.  They'll do right by you in the end.

Finally heard from Stardock support and they told the same things you guys said so I am waiting to hear back from them. I decided to to see if I could download the individual programs from the support page and found that I could so that worked fine. Despite what I've read in the forums, I actually liked Impulse because I could see when there was an update and I could get programs I hadn't downloaded yet but was entitled to get. I don't see that on the support page as there are not dates or information that the program was updated. So I guess the question is-do I need to download Object Desktop?

I have a similar problem. I renewed my Object Desktop subscription and received the your order from startdock was successful message in my email. However in Impulse it still shows that it will expire at the end of this month. Under my account in the store it says this though

Product: Object Desktop Renewal (1 year)
Serial:
3635 [ Activation ]

do I need to download Object Desktop?

Since OD is a  collection of apps and not an app itself I don't beleive it is actually downloadable

I'm sure SD is working on it's replacement, but I for one will miss IMPULSE.:'(

A replacement with the same functionality, but limited to Stardock's apps (not sure about SD's games), is in development as I understand it.  Perhaps an updated/resurrected Stardock Central, or something similar.

It would be nice to know when an app is updated. I don't see that capability with the new Stardock my account page. Also, it doesn't list other software you could download like Impulse did.

Until the new notification system is ready, just keep an eye on the WC news.  Any updates will be posted there anyways.

This is stupid.

The reason I liked Impulse was that it handled almost all of the registration crap without bothering me about it, and it was a single place to go for everything I bought (and therefore use).

Now I have to register EVERYTHING one item at a time, and if you buy the whole shebang like me (OD), that's a ton of registering (email AND registration over and over and over and...) for something I bought as a single unit.

Not only that, but Impulse keeps telling me that Windowblinds needs to be updated despite the fact that I downloaded and installed it mere minutes before being told to update it.

Then - much everyone's complete shock, I'm sure - Impulse tells me that my registration for OD is out of date, which I just updated (that's why I wound up downloading everything ONE FRICKING PIECE AT A TIME and then reinstalling everything ONE FRICKING PIECE AT A TIME and registering everything ONE FRICKING PIECE AT A TIME in the first place) and that I should update the registration info (in Impulse).

OK.  Another irritating new thing, but fair enough I suppose.  I mean I was only forced to enter that same info during the install, and the first time I ran the "newer" version of the software(s).

But anyway, I WANT WHAT I FRICKING PAID FOR, so I move over to the page indicated (in Impulse) where I can supposedly enjoy inputting my email and registration info (which between you and me, is an easily screwed-up string of random bolshevik (thank you God For Cntrl+C and Cntrl+V)), and - lo and behold! - Windowblinds IS NOT in the list of software that will let me alter the registration info.

So, for those of you sitting in the the short bus...

this is stupid.

Wow! seven months later, and I'm having the same problem.  I am using the GameStop program that is very much like Impulse.  It shows my Subscription as expired 12/18/2011, even though I paid for another year a few days before expiration.  I can get to the HTML download page, where you get each program separately. But it seems like there should be some way to get the new GameStop version of Impulse to acknowledge my renewal and allow me to download and/or update apps.  I've tried the logout/login/reinstall paths so far with no luck.  Any help out there?

No, because the former Impulse is GameStop and that's that. The updated SD apps won't be there. If you're not using GameStop for games, get rid of it. It's not going to work, not now and not in the future.

The new SD download and update app should be out very soon. Until then use the Store.

Impulse is not supported for Stardock software anymore, there's no way around it now.  The new Stardock Central is due very soon, and until then you would need to use the downloads page on your account.
